MATRIARXY is an intentional community that celebrates people on the F side of the gender spectrum through connection, leadership, education, and thoughtfully curated experiences. We believe meaningful communities are built through respect, hospitality, authenticity, and shared growth. 

MATRIARXY welcomes people who appreciate confident Femme leadership and enjoy connecting with others in a respectful, community-minded environment.

Many people attend MATRIARXY for the first time knowing very few people. Our community includes both newcomers and long-time participants, and we strive to create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

Our monthly Arlington Community Social is designed to encourage conversation and connection in a relaxed setting. It's often the best introduction to MATRIARXY and a wonderful place to meet members of the community. 

Our Community Social is held monthly at a restaurant in Northern Virginia. Because we intentionally cultivate the atmosphere and culture of each gathering, we ask prospective attendees to introduce themselves through our contact form before receiving event details. 

The Community Social is an informal monthly gathering where people come together to enjoy conversation, build friendships, and learn more about MATRIARXY. Whether you're reconnecting with familiar faces or meeting someone for the first time, the emphasis is on community and meaningful connection. 

Yes! Genuine friendships, connections, and even relationships have been sparked through our Happy Hour Socials. We also occasionally coordinate other outings—karaoke, museum visits, and other opportunities to enjoy one another’s company beyond the Social. Stay tuned! When something is coming up, we’ll share the details with the group.

No membership is required. MATRIARXY doesn't have a general organizational membership. If you're interested in attending one of our  socials, simply complete the interest form. We'll follow up with you from there with additional information and details about upcoming gatherings.

Our socials take place in a public restaurant during happy hour, so many guests come directly from work. Business casual is completely appropriate, and we encourage guests to wear attire that helps them feel confident, comfortable, and authentic.

Absolutely. MATRIARXY  is pronounced the same as “matriarchy.” The “X” intentionally welcomes and affirms Femme identities beyond traditional binary definitions of gender. We celebrate people across the F-side of the gender spectrum and welcome those who appreciate and support authentic Femme leadership.

Our community is built on respect, and we ask everyone who joins us to contribute to an atmosphere of kindness, curiosity, and respect.

Our restaurant socials are screened gatherings, but they are not private events in the sense of being held in a closed or isolated space. We gather together in a designated area of a public restaurant, and the restaurant remains open to other patrons.

Those joining the MATRIARXY social are asked to submit an interest form in advance. We follow up with approved guests and provide the information needed to locate and join our group.

Each person attending a MATRIARXY social must complete our interest form and be screened individually before attending. An invitation to one person does not extend automatically to additional guests .

If there is someone you would like to bring, please share our contact information or interest form with them so they can complete the same process. Once they have been screened and approved to attend, they are welcome to join you at the social.

Because we value personal privacy, guests should never photograph or identify other participants without their permission.
